I used the stock bypass valve and wastegate solenoid for years with no issue. Now I have it hooked up with HKS SSQV BOV recirculated and Greddy Profec B EBC. Car is S13 sr20det with T28 turbo and bolt ons. I get vacuum for wastegate from cold pipe, and the BOV is adjusted mostly with screw out. Cars runs and drives fine, but the more boost I run the more flutter I get. The BOV is not leaking and it's recirc, that should the only thing causing the flutter. Should I try a different BOV or adjust things differently?

I never adjusted my SSQV and have never had an issue... For some reason, yours isn't getting rid of air quickly enough, though. Where is your vacuum source for the BOV, and can you actually hear it opening?

BOV gets vacuum from TB, and WG gets vacuum from cold pipe.

That routing is correct. You need to ensure your BOV is actually functioning...

Yeah, that's what I plan to do, I have a coupe others I can use. I have a Greddy RS BOV but it has two nipples on it so I need to figure out if I use one or both. I know the SSQV works, the flutter mainly happens at lower rpm. If I let off at at Wot I get the psshh and then the flutter sound once revs drop. Could the SSQV possibly make a flutter type sound?

Yes, but it's distinctly different than turbo flutter. Post a video... Preferably with good sound quality.

It could be a few things, one the BOV not opening 100% or getting a weak vacuum signal thus causing strange behaivor...or it's not opening at all, and it's your turbo surging upon decel.

As stated above, grab a video if you can.Even if it's a phone video that you email to yourself and then quickly upload to youtube.

Vacuum source from the nipple on the throttle body is incorrect. You should be getting vacuum from the intake manifold ports next to thr throttle body.

Here's a vid that shows my set up and the flutter. It happens at lower pressures. It will blow off hard at higher psi then as it gets lower there's flutter. Pretty sure it's just cuz of the BOV but other people have not had issues like that from what I've seen. On a side note, I was on the highway and all of a sudden car ran like crap and wouldn't rev. Limped it home and checked things over until I realized I had popped off the boot from the TB. I just recently started boosting over stock so I think that coupled with not a full blow off was the issue.
