I have an Injen installed and it sounds great...I know I may be losing some power due to the temp rise, but this is not a drag car and it came installed at purchase.

However, I notice there are two plastic tubes leading down into the inner fender, is there a 'scoop' there or is it just more 'muffler' pipe/box :)

I am learning to drive the car now, I will add brakes and suspension first and then do the engine, more than likely a 220-250hp KAT (low boost, easy tuning) and maybe later up the power level....somehow I think anything higher is just going to be bragging rights and added headaches.

Thanks

That box is the intake resonator/water separator(so im told), it quiets the intake roar. The scoop is actually where the air box intakes. You can get rid of all of it but you have to take off the plastic piece under the drivers side bumper. Once removed the sort of chamber in the bumper will blow fresh air into the engine bay.

yea it is for the water seperator. thats why it is under the filter. because as we all know water is heavier then air. my freind was stupid and cut a whole in his second air box and ran a line from the front grill to it . but what ever.
