what's that little light above me?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I've had my car for about a month and I just noticed that tiny little oval shaped light next to the sunroof controls. I've seen it on and I've seen it off, but I have no idea what it's supposed to be. I couldn't find anything in my manual that mentions it either. Any clues?

I noticed the same thing when we were driving at night. I think its a small LED that provides a fraction of light in the cabin so you can find things in the dark. Its not obtrusive. I thinks its a cool design detail.
