i am thinking about the intake manifold and throttle body, have searched, but haven't found anyone that makes a set. is this because the stock one is best, or there is no demand for this set?

i have a hotshot header, megan catback, fidanza flywheel, clutch specialties stage 3 clutch, motor and transmission mounts, and electric fan.

would like to get a little more power and efficiency out of this motor (kade), and then work on suspension

would the intake manifold and throttle body be worth it? i know i can just port it,, but would like to find some quality, tested parts. and not something in the thousands of dollars range

thanks in advance!

I don't know of any redily available aftermarket intake.. especially for the sohc. You could always go the route of ITBs.. or Carbs. That would be pretty cool. Old school. Or you could have someone weld up an intake of whatever size you want... throw on a larger Throttle body and go with a different maf and retune your ecu.

Sounds like where you are at now you could really benefit by an ecu retune anyways.

safc, but i hear theyre **** as well. it all depends on the engine, every engine is different. you will get a properly tuned chip, but your car might not cooperate w/ the new chip. does that make sense? i could have an identical 240 as you, same motor/chip/whatever. but do to the natural cycle of life, the engines age and wear differently. so long story short, you really cant expect to plug in a chip and have it work perfectly the first time. some people do, and i envy them. it might take a little extra fine tuning to the other electrical components. thats why if you are going to tune, BE SURE YOU CAN MAINTAIN IT! my best advice is to search se-r.net, g20.net, and sr20forum.net. read more reviews, and choose whats right for you.
