So, what the hell, I'm torn. Forget turbo 4s,6s,8etc, what do you prefer to hear?

Turbo spool

A supercharger whine?

Or a bitchin' cam?

As much as I enjoy a BOV, I really love a good whine from the supercharger, but that might the be old in me!

Turbos seem like more of an orchestra to me than the others. There's a lot of stuff going on (more than just the spool).

My Miata has an ATI damper that is a bit exposed (timing cover doesn't cover it up completely), so it's got both turbo spool and some belt whine. Not exactly the same as a supercharger whine, but still.

That one you posted sounds like a jetson's car to me right now for some reason.
Also, look at those hose clamps on the turbo!!

Purely based on sound, supercharger, every time. That whine sound soooo good!

Whoa, that brings back a few (bad) memories of the Windstars we got saddled with as company cars a while back.

As for my vote, supercharger.

The sound of the SC was the only good thing my Crossfire SRT6 ever did.

Am partial to the spooling. Love it on my Cummins Dodge.

It's a tough one Ray. I have had the cam and I currently have the turbo. Although I love the sound of my turbo, I have to lean on the side of "no replacement for displacement." I miss that lumpy 'pop' from the tailpipes...
