Then buy a pfc/cams/turbo. Max stock power is around 6500 rpm, no reason to go higher when stock.

cool thanks... I been thinking of saving money for rb20 or 25.. i would prefer the 25 but I can see that is gonna be a butt load of money.. I was just searching the price for the mckinney motor, trans mounts, and driveshaft and my god just that alone is gonna cost probably as much not more than the rb25 engine/transmission/ecu/and wirning... is there any other places I can look for the mounts and driveshaft for cheaper than 500 600 bills.

Yes you would need to make measurements. You'd have to call the specific shop for details.

bAzing!got me there, but my motor wasnt in the best condtion when i got it, a$$ in japan who owned it put this silly timing map in the car, so it had some prior damage going before i got my paws on it.least i didnt bust my ringlands :p

If you want 500hp, your gonna want to build your motor rb20 or rb25!! these are both strong motors that can handle power increases but, If you want big power.....you will spend big money. people think my goals are low cuz I only want 250whp on my rb20, but that power can be made while keeping it very RELIABLE. I dont own a shop and i sure as hell dont wanna rebuild my engine on a regular basis. my 2cents

You don't have to build an RB25 to handle 500hp (400-425 whp).Keep your rev's below 8k and knock in check....

definatley

450ish whp seems to be about the safe "reliable" limit for the rb25.

rb20 should be able to hold 400whp no problem assuming you have a proper tune and the engine is in good nic, which unfortunatly mine wasnt...

It's not my dyno sheet, it's the test mule for AEM.Here are the specs"The exhaust was approx 2.5". It was a budget replacement exhaust. Nothing exotic. It had a 2.5" cat. The intercooler was the stock R33 GTS-T"

He then made over 300whp @ 8psi with a Greddy im, fmic and exhaust...

Yeah we all know how accurate the factory tach is. My friends PFC came programed at 6800, my RB20 PFC came programed at 7500.

Minus the EMS, thats what i have mods wise. Ill have an AFC wired up shortly to get it tuned better.

AFC is worthless on the RB25. You need something that controls timing too...

thanks for the info. I'm trying trying to get a feel for what I should expect to put out. I have a friend that just got his sentra tuned and put 200 to the wheels. All I want is more then that...

check my sig. 244 running just wastegate boost, 3" downpipe and exhaust, and stock sidemount. 200 is child's play for an rb25. my track runs were on 10 psi w/ 205/50/15 DRs 1.9 60'.

Well that is good news. And congrat on your numbers. What kind of drag radials are you using?

I wonder if I'll see a loss in power using a fmic before gettting mods on the engine.
