What's compatible with what? (Shopping for door panels!)

I'm currently looking for a driver's side door panel and found a few junked 240s in my area. Heard of a few with decent door panels, but haven't gotten the chance to look at them.

So what door panels are compatible with my 93 vert? A 90 fastback/hatchback? Anything 240 from 90-94?

Only vert door panels will work on other verts. Unless you do a good amount of modification.

What's different about the non-vert panels?

They don't have that huge lump (pillar) for your seatbelts for onething. Also, the verts have quite a bit more structural bracing in the doors which affects the panels as well.

spoken for truth. coupe and hatch doors are interchangeable though its worth finding ones to match power windows or manual windows just because its easier. vert doors are substantially thicker and even if you cut out a section for the seatbelt pillar they still won't fit. check the how to on swapping coupe doors for more info.

With proper modification you can make coupe/HB door panels work on your vert doors. You need to check out the pillar removal/seat belt relocation thread. This will tell you everything you need to know. I did it to my vert...not that hard if you have the tools and know-how.
