That all depends.

How patient, mechanically inclined, resourceful (ie: appropriate tools, workspace, able to deal with little/big crap that tends to come up when things don't go as planned) and prepared to do an install are you? By going to a shop, have you found one you trust enough to hand over not just a big wad of cash, but your car to?

Me personally, no local shop goes near my car for anything. The only shop I trust is MJM Autohaus, and I only use them for the electronic things I can't deal with on my GTI.
