Over in the A/C world its usually Xentec or DDM Tuning that I hear beaing tossed around. I think DDM has a good product with some good choices (almost bought but too lazy to do HIDS) but I cant speak against the Xentec so go with whichever is good for your price range and gives your comfort at night... haha, but yeah i hear good things bout both so I dont think you can do wrong :bigthumb:

^ That's what I have on my 240. DDM Tuning is very good quality. Lifetime warranty and only $40. :)

Real HID bulb's don't even cost $75 dollars...so what will a $40 HID even do?

They are awesome! Very simple to install although they do not come with directions. It's pretty straight forward. Very good light output. A few of my friends also have them on their cars. I recommend them to anyone wanting HID's.

EDIT: Also, go with 35watt. 55watt is too powerful, it will just blow fuses.

Why pay $250 for something that works just as good or even better that's $40? They work exactly like HID's are supposed to. I have zero problems with them

They don't.....that's the thing.

I wonder why OEM's use them instead of DDM's, they'd save a lot more money eh.

Listen to this man.

Halogen projectors weren't made to use High Intensity Discharge bulbs

I recommend you go to http://www.hidplanet.com and do some more research. Do it right the first time.
here's link to a retro someone did on a MCS14. Check it out.

I bought a kit off of here from one of our sponsors for my kouki. I don't remember the name but they had thier own thread going somewhere on here. I paid less than $50 and they work perfect. The light output and cutoffs is just fine with factory housings on the kouki. I have had zero problems. Just mount the balasts, do a small amount of wiring and you are good to go. LOL I remember when HIDs were rediculous expensive. Just like everything else as soon as the technology becomes more available and cheaper to produce the price will go down.

I fail. I just saw their basic HID kits. They still cost the same as DDM ones though ;)

Unless you really feel like paying $250..

I also have the Ebay ones. They are real hids not that regular bulb with blue paint on it. Still work goodly good after 2 years. The only problem I had was that the left light wouldnt come on one time, but later fixed itself.. dont know what that was about

Just remember, DDM has lifetime warranty ;)

You can always get it replaced. Most company's will replace a faulty bulb for free.

I just ordered some DDM tuning HID's. I really don't think you can go wrong with the price and a good warranty. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Just curious, i have silvia head lights on my S14, will any HID kit work for these? or do they have to be some sort of "JDM" HID?
