Ok so TMS say I get the Ultimate. I'm guessing that greddy has an air temp sensor, and pressure sensor that you can use with it??? (I'll be checking the website to see if thats the case). Though I think little knobs would be a lot more easier to use lol, right TMS??? Jk lol That is pretty awesome though. So maybe I won't be running a map right of the bat but you can bet by mid summer I will be! (I'll probably have a lot of q's to ask you TMS since you know all about it). Like you also said, it would be nice to know if I do blow a turbo or something ghastly like that, that I can put a funnel on the TB lmao and still drive it!

It is very easy to install just swap out your stock ecu for this one and your done . Than upload the included base map for the ca and your running. I choose to switch over to a speed density set up to eliminate the MAF which is still fairly easy you can just use the wires from the MAF harness and just pop out the pins nd change them too the correct location. All you will need is an aem or gm pressure sensore its better to get a higher pressure than you will be running in my case 3.5 bar sensor. and you will also need an aem air temp sensor. I would highly reccomend this system to any body serious about tuning their ca and learning to tune them self . Their software is very good and easy to navigate around . any more questions let me know cheers .
How it run ? like stock Ecu ?

I just hear from some tuner that it was not so reliable.

You figure the control unit, harnesses, pressure sensor etc, what $900? If it were me I would just go a little bit more and go full standalone and ditch all the 20 year old factory crap. That E-manage is still sitting on top of sensors that are close to two DECADES old and a computer that couldn't process the functions of a gameboy.

Haltech is really interesting.

From my preference. There is what i want from a standalone.

-RELIABLE-map sensor based-stock ignition system- plug and play- something that my tuner in here can take care of.

I was more looking into E8 system from haltech as it already came with map,air temps and plug and play harness.

I have an E8 that will be running my engine when it is done. For the mean time I will learn to use it on my "transitional motor". The E6X will fit more people's budgets but the E8 has better features IMO.

Yeah I guess you all are right. What is the point of running all 20 year old technology. Thanks for all the links too. The hal. looks pretty amazing. Has a lot of pretty sweet features. Kinda a bummer nissan didn't think of using maps earlier. I think I'm going to go with a 3 bar map when I do end up getting one.Apparently 2 bar is only good up to 15 psi. (i'd eventually like to be doing a little more then that). Speaking of which... I was talking to a customer today and cars came up and I mentioned I had a 240, and the first things out of his lips were ohhh did you do the SR swap!??!?!?!?!? GAAHAHHHH!!!! Even people who don't know anything about nissans know about that stupid swap lmao!!!! I was just like wow. And I said no, no Sr, and he kinda looked at me like I was retarded, and I said CA, and he's like wtf is a CA? I told him we like iron! lol I like really am really begining to hate the SR stereo type when you say 240 every one is like SR so gheeeeyyyy. And then he was talking about how his cousins has like 580 hp or something re-cockulous Wooow

look on the bright side, the more people that jump on the SR bandwagon the more CAs and KAs for the "other guys"

Started off with an F-Con... NIGHTMARE!!! fought if for a long time. Broke down and bought an EMS Stinger. Super easy format for tuning. Not plug and play though. Best part is the processor... built like a brick sh*^ house. i used the cas, worked fine. bad part though... batch firing. But I dont care to spend the extra money for sequential. Btw, great tech support.

Nothing wrong with batch fire man. PPl, seem to think it sucks for some reason, but it's really not that big of a deal.

I know from experience that you can make AWESOME power and still get great driveability and fuel economy from a batch fired system.

I am cheap! Fortunately, so is the Stinger! I almost picked one up for $550 off teh eGay. I failed though, so I went with the super cheap method.

For me it has been every thing and more no problems at all you just have to make sure aem sends you their crank angle trigger to replace your factory one so your timing wont jump around ... I absolutley love it
