Reading through people's posts, I've seen people claiming full boost with their GT2871R .64 from as low as 3600 rpm and others saying theirs don't hit until 4100 rpm? Now I wonder why such a big difference. It could just be that people aren't mentioning which trim they have. I recently blew my HKS GT2530 and replaced it with a GT2871R .64. Because of the rain it's not too safe push hard on the car. I think I'm hitting full boost around 3800 to 4000 rpm though. It's hard to tell right now. So if you have a GT2871R .64 or .86, could you please post what rpm you hit full boost at. A little list of mods would be helpful too.

I think turbo's hit full boost at different rpm's in different gears. At least my S15 gt28r does.

My .64 ar hits full boost at 3800rpm and a friend of mines' .86 ar hits full boost at 4400 rpm. I have a 4.36 R&P and a .64 ar and I have never been beat by a .86 ar at the drag track.FWIW Stock head, cams, and intake with built bottom end on 20psi. JWT tune with 72lbs. inj.

So KentuckySlider, you have tested the R32 VLSD at the track? How'd you like it compared to your past differential setup?

As you know I'm also using the same setup but have also thought about the idea that with the J30 you'll be in each gear longer, meaning you'll be near peak power longer. Any input on this?

I love it! It is easier to launch without boggin with wrinkle walls and it's a stump puller. It does lack the top end that the 3.91 had. I trapped 2mph slower in the 1/8th with a .15 faster pass. Cams and intake should take care of the top end. I have more torque than any other SR I've been in by far. I just need cams, intake, and maybe methanol.
