I pretty much nailed it all there.

Just want to hear what you guys use.

Last engine I used polished stock rods and lightweight pistons from another car brand. That was a budget banzai and I need real stuff now.

Wiseco pistons cause i get the hookup on 'em and i'm just using stock rods and i'm getting them shot peened and what not. from my understanding the stock rods are quite tough when properly prepped.

standard rods balanced and matched. Wiseco pistons because they're very good quality and I got them in a deal FYI standard rods are shot peened from the factory so do-not need re-doing IMO

Stock rods and pistons. Why? Because that's what the factory put in my engine and I can't afford anything else.

Street sentra's CA18DET= Factory Rods and CP pistons. Why= Pistons were available in standard trim.

Drag Sentra's CA18DET= Pauter Rods and Wiseco pistons. Why= To compliment all the other expensive stuff in this engine.

Really good answers! Didn´t mean to sound angry when I asked why.I just meant "why this brand of rods/pistons".

Wiseco sounds like a common piston, that´s good, love them.

How about Eagle rods, bad? can you get the Pauter off the shelf or custom?

Eagle rods will work, if they'll make them for you and the CA. Pauter was an off the shelf deal to the tune $740 for all four.

What=Stock, balanced, rods, and CP, High compression, forged pistons.

Why=stock rods are strong enough for my goals (sub 300hp), and the cast pistons weren't!

^-- I'm with stupid (too lazy to find the emote)

same only mine are 'stock' compression but 1mm overbore so technically a tiny itsy bit more than stock compression. the CP pistons were a great price :D

oh, and there's a place over in ft worth that will shotpeen all 4 rods for $20 flat so I figured why not? :D (The guy who runs the shop openly thought it was snake oil but was willing to take people's money if it made them feel better)

Very nice to see all these brands in Ca engines. Got a new question!

Is raceeng the the place to buy internals from? I´ve ordered from them before and they got really nice prices, lowest Ca internal prices in USA?
