I just bought a 2004 g35 6mt, the previous owner destroyed the rims on the curb so I want a new set. What would be a good set to get that looks good with the dark grey car?

Hey! Welcome to NICO.

I think we might have the same car  Good choice!

If I had an idea of your price range, daily driver, summer only?, etc. I might be able to offer more of an opinion.

I have a summer set of Oz imitations (from previous owner) 19x10 that are obviously not name-brand, but still very high quality (3 piece wheel with real rivets) http://imgur.com/az8e1HJ <-- picture

I really like the black contrast with the platinum of the car, but black tends to look dirty very fast especially in the winter so I have a set of Momo Winter Wheels 17x7. So far they have done very well in resisting the salt and pitting.

I have a friend who really likes his set of Drag wheels, but I don't have any personal experience with them.

If you are looking more for a styling preference, I think the glossy black (and bigger than OEM size) adds a nice touch to the car and I get compliments on the summer wheels quite often. Just be prepared to clean them every once in a while to keep them looking great. :dblthumb:

If you do live somewhere with a winter season, I would keep the old rims for a potential winter set of tires.

Wheel selection is usually such a personal choice. If you simply want replacements due to damage then you can browse ebay or the classifieds here for factory replacements. If you want to increase performance then a +1 approach may do (1" larger wheel, smaller tire sidewall).
