well i was wonder if anybody knew what resistor i could shove in the iat to trick the ecu in thinking its in 40-50 deg weather?????

also messing around with my headlights last night 92 s13 and found that if you turn the headlight switch off.. but leave the lights up then push the button to make them go down ..as their going down quickly turn the light switch tumble back on.. if you do it quick enough you can get some desent adjustment with cutting any fact. wires or some other switch.,.... that or my car is fuxored

I'm not sure why you'd want to. The IAT is made to compensate for your MAF having slight inaccuracies due to ambient temperature.

THe intake temp sensor is a diagnostic sensor and has no effect on engine operation. It mearly compares engine coolant temp to ambient temp. If ambient temp indicates the car should be hotter then the coolant temp is registering it will throw a code for coolant temp and then try to compensate using the ambient temp as a reffrence. IMO if you want to get the best out of a mod like that get a couple variable resistors you can turn and wire both you coolant temp sensor and your ambient temp sensor to them and set it for what ever you want at any given time. As long as you sender for the Gauge is still functional you will know what the car is running at temp wise.
