I have seen advertising for 0 and 0.9% interest for G37's but I am interested in paying cash. Is anyone aware of what rebates there are for G37 coupes? A dealer in my area is advertising new 2009 coupe journey with nav for 36K cash and much of that HAS to be manufacturer rebates I would think.

The two reasons I would rather buy somewhere else is to get the sports package as well as not really liking that dealership. I just want to know how much I can push another dealer without being unfair about it. I want a good deal, I want the salesperson to make some money and be happy- a win/win.

Thanks.

Thats very honorable of you, thinking about other people. Well you should know, why is it that Infiniti, Acura, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc never offer rebates? the cars sell so well, they dont need to offer incentives to sell them, like the lower quality american brand vehicles and korean vehicles do. The 36k with nav sounds like a very good deal. Its probably that cheap because of it not being a sport model? Remember also that when a car is new and hot and in demand, if someone doesnt want to pay the dealer price, there's always someone who does. You just have to find one you like, show interest, and leave. Let the dealer have your info, and they'll call you with a lower price than they offered.

I would check edmunds to see the value of the vehicle...all car manufactures are having a bad year so they should all be willing to make deals.

Good luck with the purchase!!

I am fairly certain that the lower price is, in part, a rebate from the manufacturer. At least, that is what I thought the dealership mentioned the last time I checked out a similar deal (for a 2008 new). Also, Infiniti does offer deals in terms of the financing.

Sorry to seem contrarian, and thank you for your kind words about my honor. That was very nice.

That is possible but the advertisement notes that the price is almost 7K off of MSRP which would be a great amount of money for a dealership to take a bath on. That said, it does make me consider that, since sport models are rarer, that using this deal to try to get better on a spot model might not work.

So, we'll see what happens. If anyone else knows if there are rebates, I'll be checking in. Thans.

GO TO CARSDIRECT and get the invoice price.

THERE IS NO REBATE, but 2000 in Dealer Cash - THey do not have to give this to you.

You should be getting INVOICE price -2000 Dealer cash

Dealer cash differs from REBATE in that you DO NOT pay sales tax on the Dealer Cash....Rebates are taken after tax is applied.

Good Luck!!!

I recommend Modern Infiniti of Winston Salem or Greensboro.

If I do that, will they be making money though? I would like it to be a win-win.

Put another way: A 2009 Infiniti G37 coupe with premium, sport, and navigation has a MSRP of 44,765.00 (including a 865 destination and handling charge). In light of the 200 in dealer cash, what is a fair price to offer so that I get a good deal and the dealership make s a fair profit?

Thank you.

Trust me, they will still make money. Normally, they have a doc fee of up to $600 (I believe that is the limit in NC) and they get hold back money.

So, a fair price for that car would be $41,002 - $2,000 or $39,002.That is not including doc fee, tag, tax.Closer to the end of the month and you might do better depending on where they are with their sales goals.

One thing the sales guys have told me (at least the 2 I'm cool with) is that when people agree on a price that lets the salesman get a satisfactory comission, they take extra care of the customer, often absorbing cost of some things in the future, and generally putting those specific people on their priority list, so if you plan on keeping the car 3 or more years, its probably worth it to make sure you dont make them sad with a too low price, as they will give you the royal treatment for years to come. One lady I've noticed here bought her car straight sticker price, and 20,000 miles over warranty she still gets stuff goodwilled, and sales get her free floormats and other goodies. Bottom line though, if they're happy to give you a car at a certain price, then chances are both parties are getting a good deal.

I understand what you are saying, but do not necessarily agree with it. My intent is to get the best deal possible and maintain a healthy relationship with the dealership. I believe that I've always done so.

However, I think in this economy invoice - $2K is more than fair. If it were me, I would be waiting til the end of the month and look at getting below invoice.

I know on the deal I just turned down I was getting (below invoice with free tint/nitrogen/wheel locks - $2k) and KBB PP for my trade.

May be better to try to wait 3-4 months and wait on them to try to clear '09s off the lot as well.

Good point!

Also, I know there are a few left over 08 coupes that have the $2K dealer cash deal too and I think they are $1,800 less cause the 09's went up.But, you may be very limited in color and options.

I'll post more later but...

I AM A NEW G37 OWNER!!!

2009 G37 coupe (automatic) with sport, premium, navigation... and it's RED!

I got a very good deal on it because another dealership was being very agressive with their pricing. I might have been able to bargained the price a little lower but the dealer's first offer I felt was fairly generous at almost 5.5K under MSRP. I wanted them to happy with the deal as well so I took the first offer and it all worked out
