Hey Guys...I need to get an FMU for my turbo setup. I have the Nsport Turbo Kit and i am pretty sure it came with a 7:1 FMU to run 7psi from the wastegate spring that came with the kit. I ran a SAFC, but i had to give it back to my friend. I am fixing the car to sell, so i'm not worried about going full out with with Tuning. I was wondering if anyone could tell me for sure if the kit came with a 7:1 or what you think I should use. I would rather be a little safe that sorry, so i was thinking about getting an 8:1. If it helps, the turbo is a T04B. The a/r is .63 and the turbine is .58. And yes, i have stock injectors back on.

at the very least, 8:1...........ive heard some peeps using 10:1 but i would suggest 8:1. please watch the a/f's on a dyno or with a wideband though.

For low boost a 7:1 or 8:1 won't matter. Don't push more then 8lbs of boost though. You should be ok, if you want some added safety, just retard the base timing a couple degree's.

Run no more than about 7-8 psi of boost using a FMU. 7:1 is pretty minimal for this boost level. But unless you have a fuel pump that can flow more at higher fuel pressures then, going to a higher ratio FMU won't do much good as the fuel pump will likely limit the max pressure.

I had a T04B with a H trim wheel and .60 compressor A/R, and a .69 turbine A/R (I forget the turbine trim) with a 8:1 FMU and it worked fine.

Everyone used to run a FMU when they started out back in the day. I don't understand where this idea that they don't work came from. Granted, its for a low boost setup. But it's retarded easy and works pretty well. The fastest Maxima in the US ran a FMU...

I just have to double check on how to install it. I read somewhere that the side port is feed and the bottom is return, but what about the feed to the stock FPR. Please enlighten me. Thanks
