Welp, my bad, the hatches were different and I haven't seen one in a long time, so this got me confused. The 4AT's are the only ones with an exchanger, the CVT's are actually looped back by the factory with an arrangement like the early CVT Maximas. Instead of ports on the back of the beehive which mate to the transmission with o-rings, the beehive is a separate piece bolted to the transmission and connected using hoses and banjo fittings. The hoses cycle the fluid straight back into the housing after a trip through the hive. It's actually easy (and very beneficial) to rig the exchanger, but you need to add a pair of hoses (use "hot oil rated" hose only, most parts stores stock it). Remove and discard the hose with the arrows, then run the new hoses to and from the exchanger as shown, one from the banjo on the housing to the radiator and the other from the radiator back to the beehive.
