i have read he posts with all these dyno figures etc... on ca18det that have been built..but what i would like to know is what quarter miles times these same have run?

we all could post dyno charts etc...but the bottom line is what time they run.

we have a new engine we are almost ready to put together nowbut the old engine ran an 11.9

anyone else with times? i have seen the hks video @central circuit of the s13 doing a 10...but surely there must be more.

I wish I ran my car before the headgasket blew.

But I just compare my car to others. I raced my friends 01 Eclipse GT with intake and exhaust whos runs 15.2 off the bottle.

I beat him by 2 cars at stock boost, so im guessing im in the high 14's.

At 15 psi I raced a 99-00 hatchback and the guy said it had a Type R motor. I walked the hatch by a few car lengths. He said his best time was 14.4 So im guessing I would be at a high 13.

Once I put the motor back in and everything is done up right, im looking to drop a low 13 high 12 at the track.

I havent taken mine to the track yet.

The one I did drive though had exhaust, intake, hks dp and stock sidemount. Also was an unhealthy motor eheh basically a 3 cylinder. We got it to run a 14.8 im not too sure on the trap speed since it was some time ago.

If you build for high hp and the car is set up for track only, then special #s will come about. I too am building for special #'s and with over $8k invested in engine, engine management, special gearbox and custom axles alone, expectations are high for my project as well.

I've run an EASY 13.0 @ 115mph at around 20 psi with plenty of excuses! :)

I ran a buddy of mine who puts down 420rwhp in a 3000lb car (runs a low 12 @ 120 mph) and all the way from 3rd to 4th gear, he could not pull away from me (especially since he was shifting into 5th when I was still at 7000 rpm in 4th.) I love har far the CA can rev!! There will be a video one of these days, I will definately post it up!

on sxoc there were 2 12sec cars posted not long ago. "396hp thread";one ran 12.8 with a horrible 2.4s 60 ft, big (cheap) truck holset turbo, on a FAR less than ideal setup/tuning. Stock bottom end.Another ran 12.0 using a mitsu 16G, good 60'. Stock bottom end also.

I've always felt a mitsu 16G fed ca18 could get a 12.0s timeslip. At ~$550 shipped, the evo 16 is a great buy. Super response with top end pull. Folks run 18psi street/ 24 race, and the turbo livesI'm gonna make a manifold and experiment with the mitsu turbos... bottom mount 1st gen DSM - 16g > 18G/05clipped > 20G/td06I'm sure the thing will fly
