hey compression. i understand you think its a bunch of bs. thats cool. you guys will just have to wait till its done. all i have to say is that theres nothing 510 on it anymore other than the body. i would say the chassy is somewhat built like the yellow fever 510 on the internet. about shasta. there were all kinds on sr510's just check out 510garage.com the guy who took the pics gave everyone love, not like dime quarterly who only took pics of his friends.

thatsoon72,I guess I will believe it when I see it. Just a skeptic, I hear stories all the time along those lines. Believe half of what you see, and less of what you hear, thats my moto. But if it is true, I cant wait to see it, that has never been done before, a 7MGTE has, but not a 2J.

hey blur. are you the guy i met at qualcom? i think you showed me a pic of your car in your phone. i have a stage 2 clutch spec clutch, toda flywheel, tomei ecu, short shifter.big front mount intercooler. super afc 2, super itc. boost cont.ect... the turbo is stock right now. i dyno'd at 240whp on 113 octane. not bad for a t25. in a few months im upgrading. im shooting for 350whp with a gt2835.

that wasnt me, I dont have a camera phone.... maybe there is a forth guy... hey how do you like the toda flywheel? I heard some people tell me not to go with a lightened flywheel . that is coolyou got 240 out of a stock turbo....

personally, i like the flywheel. my friend had it in his sr20det 240sx and didnt like it because of the way it drove on the drag strip. he said i wont feel too much diffrence since the 510 is so light. so he gave me his lightened flywheel i mainly autocross it and i like the throttle response and engine breaking to save breaks from overheating. but i do drag it quit often . my best time on the 1/8 mile with 195/60 14 tires is 8.4. i love this motor!!!

thatsoon72, I went to qualcomm last night... i was a little dissappointed, i couldn't get any traction. I am running Advan AO32R 225/50/15. I need to fine tune my suspension. what kind of suspension do u have on your 510. I ran 9.5 last night spinning the tires the whole time.. trap speed was 81 mph....

I am not aware of the 2jz 510... that would be cool tho... i cant imagine that motor in the 510 since the SR barely fits on it... the 2JZ is about 10 inches longer...

yeah the one i saw had a 1jz. they cut out the firewall and set everything back. ive actually seen quite a few l series 6's in 510's, but cant see it being worthwhile.

yeah, the firewall is cut. theres an engine where his heater core used to be and the shifter is by his hip.

blur i should have gone to the drags to see your ride in person. well about my suspension is pretty basic. suburu diff. slotted crossmember. tokiko shocks. and i think the spring rate is about 400lbs. the last time i went, my time got slower because i set up my stuff for thunderhill and i was getting no weight transfer due to it being real stiff but still ran a 8.6 . is your turbo a bit laggy and than BAAAM!!! boost like a mother? i bet its a blast to drive.

thatsoon72, I have an r180 lsd 4.11, I have ground control coil-overs for the rear.. I think my suspension is off, since we had the rears pretty stiff. anyways i have a pretty big turbo but its not that laggy... bost stats at about 3k and actually 5 psi at around 3500.... anyways I am not really that much into drags, but i do want to start autocrossing my car... maybe we can go shill sometime... I am gonna ask christian for you number.. i think he has it... ok? well cya later..

yeah. get my number from cris. a lot of my friends are going sr20det because they saw all the abuse i gave it during the race. not to mention the 12 hr drive to get there and about 35 runs on the drag strip not includiing on the street.. one of my friends had a ka24 and he's sick of it. he raced it last year and it broke, and this year he got it rebuilt and towed it and still broke.

Are those BRE flares? If not, where did you get them?

OOOOHHHH!!! Just saw the engine bay and interior!!! Simply kick ***.

You running a TEC II? If you're looking to upgrade to the TEC III, let me know. I'm converting to a stock setup and selling my TEC III with all the SR hardware, etc.
