This is my first RB25 swap and I haven't memorized the FSM nor the engine by heart yet so help over flaming would be appreciated. I might now the answers to two of them I just want to double check...

Replacement Part #'s would be a huge help.

This is on the transmission.... the little metal nipple/connector is bent, and has a hole in it. Both pictures below of it.

and... what is this guy? (the one im pointing at)Is it the air pressure regulator? Does anyone know the Part# or what I can replace it with?

^^ Also in the same picture above, If i'm not mistaken the Red thing is the coolant temp sensor? This can be replaced with a KA Temp sensor without problems correct? (mines broken)

Thanks in advance for the help.

I wouldn't worry about the trans line, that's just a vent.

The other item is the stock Fuel Pressure Regulator, or FPR. Your going to need an adjustable one anyway. Nismo makes one that bolts on to replace that.

Dont worry about the trans ventAs stated above thats the FPR, Replace it with an adjustable one right away. Nismo makes one or i put on a AeromotiveLastly that is the coolant temp sensor for the ecu, you need to replace it with a 96 300zx one. I went to napa and picked one up! The KA one wont work

Thanks guys I assumed the trans was a vent so i'll just zip tie the tube and such to prevent water from entering.

As for the FPR awesome i've got my adjustable sitting on the shelf so i'm in business. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

Sunday I should be putting it in, waiting for my harness from Syko...

Gotcha I will get on that with the temp sensor, thanks for the info means a lot i'll document in my little book so I won't forget.

Ok... so thanks for the above I have just a few more questions...

Firstly in relation to that above breather/vent on the transmission... is it bad if it's broken and open? Or should it be ok?

What's this for?

And this?

Or do they hook together or what via a Fuel line? Sorry I got a motorset so i'm trying to figure little things out.

Also I dunno if the pictures descriptive enough but what's this??

the first pic looks like the iacv intake air control valve you need that...the 2nd pic cant really tell looks like the fuel pressure regulator...3pic is the boost solenoid you dont need that.

Thanks for the responses, questions.

First pic above the IACV there is a "cut" fuel line thats what i'm pointing to. Whats that fuel line go to, does it go to picture 2?

Picture 2 shouldn't be the FPR, because in previous pics, I just replaced the FPR which sits on/by the fuel rail, so im wondering wth pic 2 is it looks like a fuel reg, but hmm.... i'm confused...

As for pic 3, you wouldn't happen to have a pic roughly of where the Sol hooks up would you??

This vacuum/opening wouldn't be for the brake booster would it?? I just thought of that.

i'm yet to figure out what these are for...

I know this is not the FPR, but all the pics i've seen I can't see how it hoosk up or what it hooks to.

And this as i've been told is the Boost Sol... but where exactly does it hook up? Sorry guess this is the tragedy of geting a motorset.

I've been googling and searching for most my other questiosn these are just the ones i'm trying to get help on / opinions.

1st pic - I'm not 100% on this at all, but glancing at the first pic it looks like you might be right and thats the brake booster vac line. I've long since gotten rid of the stock intake plenum, but, it looks about the same size as my brake vac line.

2nd pic - I'm pretty sure that on the skylines they had a secondary fuel filter/regulator type thing. I ordered a Tomei fuel pump for a skyline and it came with a new one of those. Its not needed for the 240sx.

3rd pic - I don't know one person that ever got a boost solenoid with their motorsets so I wouldnt know where that goes...

Awesome on the first 2 yeah thats the brake booster Vac Line I found a few pics to confirm it. The second one should I just toss it then and connect the line to the fuel line then? Or leave it in place?

As for the Solenoid I figured out how to hook it up... Theres 2 vacuum lines that run under the intake manifold and by the wastegate, and they seem to be for the solenoid, the cuts on the sol wires match up to the lines. I've read that it's not needed, but then i've read the engine will never go to 7PSI it'll always be stuck at 5PSI withotu a boost-controller, but with it connected, it can actually go to 7psi at certain power ranges... I'm not sure if that's truth or fiction since this is my first RB25 swap.

and may have found something else to post a question on i'll get a pic up in a few...

Appreciate all the help guys.

So I suspected these two lines connected to the boost solenoid, they run under the intake manifold as circled. But then I looked over....

And noticed the wastegate lines weren't hooked up.... so do the 2 wastegate lines go to the solenoid, or the 2 above?

Pretty much I believe that's really the last of my problems or questions for now, appreciating all the help, really.

you are on the right track. first pic is goes to check valve between brake booster and manifold. second pic is the fuel dampner, it just dampens the fuel line chatter. use it if you want, i guess. I'm not. the third is the boost solenoid. your motorset is probably an auto mated to a manual transmission. not a big deal. its just that the auto's turbo WG spring is set at 5.5# and the manual was 7#. the solenoid would act as a boost control and allow the boost to go up to 7# past a certain rpm. Dont need it. As for the other vacuum lines, alot of them went to the carbon canister. you need TB to BOV, manifold to press reg, and mani to brake booster. cap everything else, unless you dont have another way to connect your WG to a boost source. optimally, you want the wg connected as close as possible so it will be fast and accurate. for example, if you wg is reading pressure from the manifold, you will have to account for all the pressure drops of the piping, which could be a pound or 2. hope all this helps, and good luck!
