The firs thing I thought was that it looked like the aftermath of a tractor pull engine running 60psi of boost, LOL!!!

looks like both cutting and "breaking"

This wasn't mine. I'd like to know too. Notice the pinholes of rust going from the water jackets into the cylinders. This engine was bored to 84.00 mm. Kinda scary since my current ca18 is bored the same amount, but I've never seen or heard of another ca18 doing this so I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it.

I have seen it before actually, on CA18DET.
Its pretty rare and is most likely a cast defect.
