89-93 hatchback?

89-93 Coupe?

95-96 zenki?

I like the S14 chasis because they seem a little more ridged. I like them all. I even have love for my pop-ups on my hatch. You can make any body style look good. Some start out better looking and have more potential. Its really what you think looks good. I have owned all but a 97+. I always go back to the hatchback because my first 240 was a hatch. I even have a S13 coupe now too.

same here after driving a car with flip up lights its so cool driving behind them at night. it feels really cool u can also see your points on ur car better I forgot what they call em in driver's ed. but yeah. I think a 180sx bumper w/ lip, and side skirts and rear valences = the hotness with a set of good work wheels/. not even mention dave's car from versionselect.tougefactory.

I am not aware of the S14, never driven one. However having driven my 92 S13 for 6 months now I have a few things to say. The engineering is superb on this car. It runs very well, repair items are readily accessible (unlike for example the oilfilter placement on my 4th gen Civic, "over the driveshaft and around the exhaust pipe"), and the interior is well laid out.

The workmanship is excellent. Everything that is supposed to move and close in the interior does so and firmly at that. Even the window cranks operate like silk. Even after 175k miles the engine still runs strong. Simply put, the factory workers really put alot of care into putting the S13 together.

Materials is a different story. If it stays together, things in the interior function well. Cheap plastics however make things easy to break, and who can't forget the famous S13 Burlap seats?

Good engineering, good workmanship, bad accountants. Considering the car cost new the modern equivalent of $20k or more, I think the materials could be better.

I originally wanted the 97+ because the front looks so hot. I could only afford my 93 S13 coupe. I can't say that I could be any happier with this vehicle. Reliability and extremely fun to drive. In terms of cost, I could've chosen either the kouki S14 or my S13 w/ an SR. I'm not looking back until this one is wrecked or gets so old it falls apart.
