ok i got a motor swap like 2 months ago. i've got like 900 miles on it and my oil is almost jet black. i have a 95 s14 w/ a matching motor. they put motul 5w30 in it w/ a nissan oem filter and i don't understand why it's all burnt up already. should i use a heavier weight or a different type. i seached as much as i could and didn't find anything conclusive. i usually run like 11-13psi and the oil smells a lil like gas. my bov doesn't reciq either. i'm just trying to be thorough so i don't need to answer anymore "did you do this?" questions. any help is appreceated.

Ok you swapped your motor... It'd be helpful to know what you swapped to...

No prob. Depending on the climate to some extent the best oil for FI cars seems to be 10W-30. Everytime I change my oil though it's black, that's not uncommon...
