When using any form of forced induction it is usually required that you use a semi-synthetic or full synthetic. And the amount of oil will depend on wether or not oil is being routed into the supercharger. If oil is being routed into the supercharger then he will want just a little bit more than the stock car requires. If not stock oil levels should not change. Also check to see if it has an oil cooler or any other modifications such as that, which will hold more oil (anything is possible in a car that is already modded).

Best bet is to ask the guy that he bought it from if it uses more oil than stock.

But either way I would suggest going with a full synthetic oil (Mobil 1 is my preference).

5W30 weight is probably fine.

Contact your local tuner shop/performance shop and ask them (check yellowbook.com) Make sure he knows what to use. Sometimes 10w is required on boosted vehicles, but then again it could be something different. Mobil 1 is excellent but he also may want to look at Royal Purple, a little bit pricier but recommend by a lot. Most importantly, ask the previous owner what weight, brand, and amount. Probably should stick with whatever they used.

thanks for all the advice , since we've got the car delivered from colorado the previous owner went mia , but i called procharger and they told me to use whatever the car uses stock 5w30 , 5 quarts and the charger has its seperate oil in it , so i have to buy oil from procharger and change the oil on the charger , also while in the process of changing the oil i notice the car has an AAM (altered athmoshpere) oil spacer on it , so i contacted them and i had to put an extra quart for the spacer , so if u are running a spacer from aam use 6 quarts of oil , and if u are using a procharger supercharger u have to change the oil on the turbine housing itself and also use there special oil in the charger , they wouldn't give me any substitute oil product from a local store !

VERY IMPORTANT , after everything is done and u've checked for leaks and the oil level make sure and put the clip back on the dip stick , i kinda forgot and the dipstick backed out and oil spurted everywhere , dont make the same mistake i did !
