What oil for 2006 M35x?

Yup.

As long as you change your oil and filter regularly and methodically enough (I use 3750 miles as my OCI), then, yes, any good oil - dino or synthetic - at 5W-30 will work perfectly fine.

FWIW, I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 0W-40. For dino, Castrol GTX and Chevron Supreme are excellent choices.
