what oil filter to use???????

hey guys iam new to the sr i just bought one this week and i need to know what type of oil filter to buy. nissan sentra s-er filter?

For an S13 SR get a 92ish Sentra SER filter.

90-96 300zx turbo oil filter will work good, bigger too.

do not use a 300zx oil filter, It will NOT work. It might screw on.....maybe, but itll misthread and blow off sooner or later. Bad Idea

ok, also one more thing should i use mobile 1 synthetic oil? if so which weight?

Mobile 1, 10W-30 should be fine.

i personally prefer heavier oil(after reading like everything that fred/palmerwmd ever posted). 20w50 is perfect for summer on a turbo motor. i use redline oil and mobil one filters.

Yes, I run 15W-50 during the Summer too. 10W-30 during the Winter.

i run mobil 1 10-30, if u get the filter from nissan the part # has 53joo in it. I cant remember all of it.

it will work. I use Z32 filters only because the SE-R filter wouldn't thread on. I don't know why my oil filter plate is designed for a Z oil filter, but it is. The plate allows it to thread on, and it's the right size to seal with the gasket.

I usually go with 15w50 mobile 1 synthetics paired with a K&N filter. I find the K&Ns to be nice since they have the 1" nut welded ont to the end of them for easy removal. We all know how hard it is to fit a filter wrench under the intake mani.

you need to get at the oil filter with a wrench?

i can get mine off with my hand. it's really easy

how hard do you torque your filter?
