Up until now I have been using 80-90 wt GL-5 which was a mistake. It causes the transmission to whine and I probably caused my blown rear transmission seal.

I ordered a new seal and am putting it in today, but am having a hard time finding the right oil. The manual calls for 75-90 wt GL-4. I can find the correct weight but only in GL-5. What are my options?

I can't afford 15-20 bucks a quart for some of the stuff I have read about, and I am not sure the rear seal is the only transmission leak so I don't want to have to dump expensive oil in a few weeks if it wasn't.

So are there any other affordable options or a place I can go to find GL-4? I tried the usual places; Autozone, Advance, O-Reilley's, NAPA.

Redline MT-90 is an excellent MT oil. You can usually get it online at many places, or here is your closest dealer:

9128 Marshall Dr
Lenexa, KS 66215

Here is the page for the oil:

No prob, def wanna call first, to be sure they stock it as they're a Motorcycle shop. If not, they can probably order it for you (and would save on shipping versus online ordering most likely)
