However, premium grades of petrol often contain more energy per litre due to the composition of the fuel as well as increased octane."it has everything to do with compression of said engine. you can run 87 all day on something with like 7.5:1 compression because there is less chance for the fuel to pre ignite than if said engine/car was running 14.2:1 compression.
im going to start running 89+ when i get my swap done(kade to kade)other ka ran like pure **** with anything below 89. hell i could bearly get her to the gas station on 87 without it wanting to stall out.
