what not to do when cleaning calipers

What I don't I do when claening the calipers?and is it the same with painting them? and while I'm at it do I need back 300zx brakes if I have the front? I have the F/R sets of brakes, BMC, the whole rear assembly and ebrake aswell.

Uhh, Im gonna assume this is 3 seperate questions...

For cleaning, just use brake cleaner and a toothbrush. Spray and scrub.

For painting, clean first and mask off parts you dont want paint to get on (brake lines, pads, rotor, etc).

As for the conversion, there are a couple stickies that have covered this. You dont need the rears per say, but it will alter the braking bias.

dont clean them while the cars running.

If the calipers are off the car it would be a good idea to get a C clamp and push the pistons in before you paint. This will save you from potentialy ruining your paint job when you install.
