I live in NJ and my ka24de has a little over 90k on it. I asked the last owner what oil they used since i know its good to always use the same oil but they didnt remember

OO and how bout oil filter? Just regular pepboys/ autozone filter? Or get something better?

mobile 1 filter has that valve that keeps the oil from spilling out when you take it out... gotta love that.

I use mobile 1 and have been since I got the car. You can check the stick about timing chain to see what inside of my valve cover looks like.. pretty clean compared to others.

Iv'e just been going to the dealership and getting the OEM filters. They work perfect, of course. I also decided to switch to 10W30 Mobil 1 Extended Performance Full Synthetic, the one that cost 6 bucks a quart and is guarenteed to last like 15k miles or whatever. Of course imma change it wayyy before that but its been working great. No leaking or nothing either.

i can't find mobil 1 filters anywhere around here, so i've been using the K&N oil filters. i use mobil 1 10w30 too, but i think i'm gonna be changing weights soon. it's starting to warm up...summers coming.

I use the used oil from my moms mini van. We like to recycle. j/k

I use Castrol 20w50 and it works well for the spring/summer for a turbo car. Also Mobile 1 oil filters can be found at Auto Zone.

if you're looking for some motor oil you can use any regular dyno oil out there with a brand + oem oil filter. if you want to go a little more exotic you can try any of the synthetics out there also.

http://www.ntpog.org/reviews/f...shtml

yeah i read around saying their identical too or atleast seem to be identical in construction.

a lot of you guys only change every 3k but dont realize if you drive hard or are rev happy when driving around town you guys might have to change even more. one time i changed my oil and it turned black in like 1300miles or so after heavy driving so yeah check your dib sticks more often.just change it whenever it gets dark and ugly. sometimes u dont even need to change it till like 6-7k+ since its synthetic. but remember to change your filters. mobil is just a brand their oil isn't that godly. but you can use what you want. whatever makes you happy

a lot of people found that out and started using the oem nissan filters instead.

i dont know i find it better to use oem filters with decent syn oil because the money it costs to use 4 quarts of mobil 1 syn and filter = about 30-35 bucks.

remember to change the drain plug washer every now and then also and you can buy the oem filters in mass for about 50 bucks for 10.

Yea mobil 1 synthetic oil does cost quite a bit (for oil anyways). But i figured out how to get some good oil filters for really cheap today. Hehehe....at pepboys just take the nicest oil filter you can find and put it in the box for the cheapest oil filter. Its not much but it saved me 5 bucks today

ram sometimes works because theres serials ont hat stuff you can give them cheap 128 or whatever ram and get whatever you want by returning.

same with other stuff lol. my friend stuffed 2 6800 ultras in the same box then returned 1 of them. its crime but we're broke lol

Awesome site you linked to. Ive seen that before but lost the link.

Another site (linked from the site mentioned above)http://minimopar.knizefamily.n....html

I use Chevron Supreme 10W30 and Puralator PureOne filters. I'm really interested in trying the OEM and STP/Bosch/Mobil 1 filters.
