Just wondering, I`m trying to figure out what to get for the new V first, but don`t wanna do too much especially anything to void the warranty yet as the car is only a week old... I`m kinda leaning towards the oem spoiler and the stillen lip kit, but if i add suspension will it void the warranty if something happends?

Anything you add to the body could void the paint & rust warranty.

An intake could void the engine warranty.

Body work will not void the engine warranty.

The dealer must claim that the aftermarket part caused the warranty failure for them to void that part of your warranty.

If you are concerned about the engine warranty with an intake, keep the stock parts. If you have an engine problem, put the stock parts back on before bringing it to the dealer.

I know of 2 dealers in Denver that are aftermarket part friendly, or customer loyal, when it comes to aftermarket work.

An intake will NOT void the engine warranty. Nissan has to prove that your after market part caused the failure of a certain part. For instance, if you installed a new head unit Nissan cant say that was the reason for your engine blowing.

Xterra said it COULD void the warranty, which is true. But Nissan has to prove it. So you're both right.

So neener.

I have the intake and exhaust, and the fuel economy is about the same as what it was. No major changes except I enjoy getting on the throttle more

Funny, since he didn't use the word "will"...

FYI, if your dealer is shady, just having an intake will void your warranty. They will report to Nissan that you are a street racer, thus you must have abused the engine, voiding the warranty. And then the battle with Nissan begins.

Not seeing the intake, some intakes have a oiled filter near a MAF sensor. If that sensor failed & caused your engine to fail, the intake did void your warranty.
