What makes cats so funny?

I'm honestly curious...what makes Icanhazcheezeburger and such sites SO goddamn popular. Is it their cuteness? I, physically, can NOT stop myself from smiling at http://wimp.com/catattention/ or http://wimp.com/catseen/
It's like a festering sore on my backside. Cat does something cat-like...I smile and/or laugh. It's just natural...No other species has such control over my funny-bone. Dogs and rodents come close though.

Sorry...I have severe insomnia and this is what I think about when my gf is yelling at me to go to sleep.

I think it's kind of an offshoot of anthropomorphism. Projecting human behavior onto other creatures is always amusing. It works especially well with cats because they have very expressive faces.

They do the same stupid shizz over and over, because of their curiosity. example smell a lemon, my cat makes a crazy face and will do it everyday if I wanted it to. Or when I eat chicken and she happens to want it that day, I put an easy to grab piece of food on the very edge of the plate and she how long it takes to eat it, dogs just woof it down cats chew it retardedly.

Also when reading old build threads, it get's frustrating when images aren't there.
