At the risk of sounding ricer, the stock lugs IMO would look terrible with my wheels. What color/brand/style should I look at? Thanks.

You're worried about custom lug nuts? As long as they're not rusty pieces of dog****, who cares?

Ditto on that. But really just go with what you think looks nice with your rims. As long as you like them its all good. Just see how the stock ones look with the rims first. If they're all rusty then change them.

i would be more worried about someone jacking my wheels which is probably what he is concernd about. i would personally get some open ended ones in silver or black. like these at http://www.jspec.com

Well, right now I am strong debating the flat black look (paint job on the car not the wheels). But all my friends want me to keep my car white. I really want low key, so blue is out. I was looking that those Kyokugen lugs earlier. My biggest issue is the polished lugs on matte light bronze wheels.

you have the advantage of your wheels looking old school. If it was me...(and I know about wheels more than you're average ricer), I'd be indifferent w/o further or closer inspection. So i'd say you are set w/regular lugs.

I dont think you should worry so much about lugnuts. I mean, when i walk up to a cool car i dont say:

"Dizzam! check out those lug nuts and valve stem covers!"

I don't really care about bling, but i do like clean. I am worried about a matching look between the style of the wheels and the lug nuts. The Japanese are fanatics about the functional deatil of their cars, as even down to the lug nut function and detail is engineered. If it is good enogh for them to consider in a functional sense, I find that mentality hard to differ from.;)

So I'll try stock, but prob. I will switch to open lugs in silver or black.

Or some sort-of adapter that fits over the Kyokugen nuts and the other end into standard lug wrench.

Kyokugen come with a 7 sided key. They're getting pretty common now, if you're in a large metropolitan area with a strong import car scene, you might want to check out mcgard lock nuts. If you're very paranoid, get the mcgard and the kyokugen. After that, it's overkill.
