What motor did you buy? What was it out of? How many bolts would go into the output flanges? It looks like 5 or 6 but in a different pattern than the 240. The 240 has 3 sets of 2 bolt holes for each axle.

Right. I swapped a late model blacktop s13 sr20det, it came with that motorset.I'm not sure what car it came out of? Looks similar to a 300zx lsd. Basically what I want to know is do I need axles or can I change out those diff output shafts so it will bolt up to my axles.

And if I do need axles? which ones?

Oh, and it has 5 bolts.

Looks like a z32 diff, if its from an N/A or TT I have no idea. With the sr-t it'd be great for you if it were the TT diff (longer gearing).

The axles in your 240 have a 6 bolt pattern, you need axles from a 92-95 infinity j30 to make it work. The axles in those years came with the 5 and 6 bolt pattern, make sure the junk yard gets you the right ones. You cannot use z32 axles, they will bolt up but are about an inch too long on both sides.

My N/A z32 diff reads:

3831143H00

on the top of diff. It looks like yours also reads 38311 and looks like it says 43H00 but I can't tell for sure.

I just looked again the halfshafts coming out of my diff are different than yours... I dunno if its just different half shafts, same internals or if it has different internals completely.

No problem man, actually if you can give me a width measurement from axle halfshaft to halfshaft I can measure mine to see if its the same so you can use the j30 axles.

Ah, I dunno about the different lower number. It may be, which would be great for the turbo application. Either way you should be able to use the j30 axles to get it up and running. One more thing you do have to do if you didnt already know, is you have to use the back cover from your s13 diff on the Z diff so it will bolt back up to your subframe.
