what kinna power gains?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I have a dohc and I am wanting to put sohc in it but I was curious of how much power it will actually make? Is it worth the trouble? Thanx guys

Youll lose power instaid of gain any power. 140hp @ 5,600 r.p.m. 152tq @ 4,400 r.p.m.ka24de 150hp

I dynoed my KA24DE, totally stock, at 127 HP. It's in pretty good condition and it's a manual transmission.

Now someone with a KA24E post their's...

I thougt a KA24DE was stock with about 150hp...so how you dyno it at 127hp?

My guess would be his numbers are real world at the rear wheels.

A stock SOHC will produce no more, probably less, power than the DOHC.
