The turbo will make about 320whp @ around 17-19psi. Up-grade the afc to a rom tune or better if you up grade the turbo that will flow more power. They have no timing control.

your motor is heavily built but the turbo is underpoweredsell the s15 and get either a gt30 or a gt2871r .64

you'll be glad you did it this time, rather then pulling it out later.

id go with a 57 trim, screw the gt series. with that s15 turbo running 18psi will eventually go, youll be making around 310 im guessing, but thats maxing out that turbo.

Hmm a lot of the setup you have listed is what I have planned for my build minus some things. I was also thinking of using the s15 turbo. I have a question though. If I were to run say 18psi on the s15 and the gt2871 would the gt2871 end up being slower than the s15?

the s15 t28 maxes at 320hp, thats the maximum ive ever heard/read of. theres a video on nico here somewhere of a shop in japan using basic mods and AEM EMS getting that out of it. and it would go after a couple of months of use im sure. as you can see theres about 2/3 thread builds on the 2871 so why dont you use your impressive searching skills and start reading through them?

i would say ru nthr turbo you have for now until you can upgrade to a bigger turbo say a gt3071r twinscroll or a gt35. other wise you will be spending more money in the long run. also i think that you should use the turbo you have now to learn how to controll and handle the car. ( i am saying that assuming that you havent had much practice before building kinda like i did)

you could just sell the turbo while its new. and get more $

Unbolting the tubo from the manifold, dump pipe, the coolant, and oil lines isnt too hard. (go slow, dont snap any bolts) you could remove it in an afternoon if you change your mind.

- the rom tune is a bigger challenge.

also anyone can handle a 400hp as long as you take your time and get used to it. all you need is a big parking lot and a supply of used tires

i agreee with the aboves, if you cant handle 400hp then your a little girl. drive your car like the man you are. as in sell the s15 t28 and buy a bigger turbo so that you can push a good amount of hp and then when your ready, still have room to turn up the boost when that cocky SL55 AMG driver pulls up next to you at the light and put bus lengths on him. good luck with your build though, post pics

EDIT

post pics of the fox body also, i love clean ones. so cheap to make fast too...

From my research into going 450-500whp you will have to go top mount on the SR20. That will run you around $2500 for a good complete setup. The GT2871 is the largest turbo a T2 bottom mount will support and most that I have talked to are skeptical about the new internally gated 3071 and 3076 on a T2 flange. http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...e=GRTI just don't know if the T2 flange will have enough flow. Why don't you get one of these instead of the 2871 and let me know how it works out for you. You will need a rom tune and some bigger injectors to get 450+ out of this.

me too

JGY makes an affordable topmount manifold ($205), and treadstone's is better

Wow. Thank you for that information. I think I am gonna go with the GT2871R and shoot for around 320-350.
