May, Y u askin? <just curious>

u got the SOHC 89-90 engine, right?

manual says 87 octane... u can bump it up to 89-91 octane if u have carbon buildup in the combustion chambers...& notice a bit of 'pingin' on regular gas... these sohc engines didn't come equipped w/ knock sensors to retard the timing automatically when using a lower grade gas... bah!

look into seafoaming the engine just to keep using the 87 octane!

93 octane for 1.91? good gawd that's cheap. around here depending on the gas station 1.91 MIGHT get you 87.

It says "use premium gas for best performance" or something very similar.

93 and sometimes Sonoco 95. I'm running 24 degrees base timing, so, I have to use it :) 95 is only $.10 more than 93 here in SC. There are a couple of stations that sell 100 (unleaded). I think it is $3.99 or something like that though.
