I have Kumho 711's 215/45/17's and I hate them. They don't grip at all. I would not advise anyone to buy this tire. The only good aspect to them is they are cheap and are supposed to last a long time.

I have Bridgestone Portenza S-03's. They are great tires as far as grip is concerned. The tread life on them is terrible. I've driven about 20,000 miles on my current set. I'm not sure that I'm going to buy the same tire next time I need new ones. They are close to $175 a pop, which is kind of ridiculous.

The wheels/tires forum is best for this... but did you get these tires mounted on new wheels? If so, the wheels may not be fitting correctly.

Ca18Datsun510, what kind of tires are you getting there? I could use some free tires for my Datsun truck.

what in the the hell size rim are you running to justify 295's? you better be putting down quadruple digit horsepower to actually NEED those.

i usually get michelen at the mercedes dealer. they are take off's. a lot of times if a car comes in on a trade in they will put new tires on it even if it doesnt need them. thats were i step in and put them to good use.

from the honda dealer i just get whatever and burn them up on the back of my car. ive gotten brand new snowtires there once, one just needed to be plugged.

BF Goodrich, one of our sponsors, fixed us up this past week with:

F: 225/40/18- BF Goodrich g-Force T/A® KDR: 275/35/18- BF Goodrich g-Force T/A® Drag Radial

We're using ROH Drift-R Wheels in a 18x8, 18x9 setup for show/street.

And 5Zigen FN01R-C's in 17x8, 17x10 for the track, should be released in April.

PICS!! Toyo is my brand of choice.. used 'em and sold 'em for many years.. since way back when the Z1 was the pinnacle of performance tires. OK, so nobody else here knows what that is, but it was a special time. Give us PICS!!!

Wanli's arent SO bad. I think they are an off-shoot of Kumho tires. WanLi's were on my car when I bought it. I think they are good for the money.

Dunlop SP5000's all around, 205/50/R15's. They're okay. Good all-season performance tire for a decent price (think I paid $90 at NTB, this was a while ago)
