Just wondering what kind of tires you all have? or what your recomendations would be for a 95 se. It will be for street use (street meaning me burning out and pulling donuts in a parking lot :D ) on a lightly modified 240

I have an affinity for Dunlops now. I have Dunlop SP 5000's all around ( on my stock rims), when i autocross i barely get them to chirp, they hold very well, (new on the back, fairly new on the front) they are rated as all-season performance, i think v-speed rated, dunno for sure, cool looking tread too.

that probably didn't help you tho'

I also have SP5000's on stock wheels. Reasonably priced all season radials, and they wear well. I've used them on the track a few times. Compared to my last set of tires, I thought the SP's improved straightline braking more so than the cornering. But if all you're going to do is abuse your tires doing donuts and parking lot burnouts, you might as well buy something cheap 'cause they won't last very long.

I just picked up some Yokohama A520s from http://www.Tirerack.com when i got my new Borbet Type B wheels. They are super sweet! 225/45/ZR16 on 16x7.5" wheels. Its all about the traction!

I still have the POS yokohamas that came with my car when I bought it. Anyone have prices for all those great tires out there, I'm interested myself.

I have Kumho Ecsta 712s for the streets and for auto cross I have Falken Azenis. I love the Azenis, and the Kumhos are good for just daily driving. And this is on my 97 SE w/suspension mods.

Yokohama AVS Intermediate 225/50/15

They work very well but they are very soft. They won't last as long as some other tires and wet traction is questionable, but dry traction is excellent for the price.

People say that if you use the AVS you should have separate winter tires, but I haven't had a problem as long as I'm careful. (Then again, I live in Southern Cali, so even winter doesn't see much rain)

I have YKS tires. I originally bought them because they were a cheap($235 for all 4 mounted), quick replacement for my shredded up ol' tires. Turns out, Im very happy with them.

Have Kuhmos. They are great street tires and seem to do well on the drag strip as well. The rear of mine is 255/40/17's while the front are 215/40/17s. For the price, they are very good tires.

The AVS is one of the better tires i've come across. They usually last me around 15k, which is longer than the pirelli p6000s i used to run. i just bought another 2 yesterday from tire rack, around $130 for both incld ship. unfortuantely they are being discontinued :( ... so grab'em while you can.
