what type of tires do you guys use?

first off, i have a stock KA engine.

215/45/17 Yokohama ES100 in front.225/45/17 Yokohama ES100 in rear.

switching to Falken ST115 next.

usually i get about 2 events out of my rear tires. i start with brand new tires and go till they pop or tread tears off.fronts last me a while. i think i've had mine for 3 events now. the yare starting to show a lot of wear though. the endge is getting rounded because my tire rubs the fender so much. it's cool though. smoke coming from the fender, over the windshield is cool!

i like this combination a lot. the rears are grippy, but not too bad.

Falken ST115 215/45/17 on 9" wheel.1 pair usually lasts me about a day.

and yes... the smoke trail over the fender is awesome.. I LOVE doing left turns and smoke is coming over my right fender and into the cockpit and my passenger isn't wearing a full face helmet. They can't see or breathe. hahah owned.

btw.. this is on a mildly modded sr20. i'd say 225rwhp... maybe a little more.i think i'm going to move to a 225/45/17 rear. maybe 235/40.. we'll see.

I need to try out a Dunlop SP9000 next time I buy tires.

I guess I run whatever I can afford at the time.

I currently have 225/45/17 falken fk 451 in frontand 235/45/17 falken st-115 in rear. I sometimes run special of the month 20 dollar used tires in the rear which is toyo proxes this week which are 205/60/15. i have used kumho mx in a 225/45/17 in the rear and they lasted a very long time like about 2 weeks and had great control

I run what ever I find with decent tread at the local tire store. My freinds works there and keeps a eye out, free is best especially if tire mounting and balancing is free. If I'm low on cash I will buy cheap kumho 711s. If I do have some cash I go for the yoko ES100.

Stock NA KA also.

F 225/45/17 BS Potenza S02R 235/45/17 Dumlop FM901

The dumlops are a-ok. Plenty of grip with no chunking like Michelin Pilots. Only problem (it's not all bad) is too much grip and you need to up speed for the KA. Oh yeah the S02s don't like to be stretched on rear 10s. One of the POS's kept leaking. The Bridgestones are grippy and edges are wearing as well, but all signs show they'll be lasting me a while. Dunlops were better than I expected. I've been street driving after the event and looks like it'll take 1 more event easy.

Tall side wall sucks. I'd rather run 215/45 F and 225/45 rear, but SB roads suck. Hey Brian, still running the 9" width FN01R-C?
