No, using your resources properly and making your own informed decisions avoids pissing contests. Learn to search instead of having ppl spoonfeed you info.

All you have to do is go to whichever engine forum you're interested in and go soak up the info and make your own choice. No one can decide this type of thing for you.

Yes there is a lot of elitist f*****ry on the internetz, however due to the nature of this thread and threads like it, no one can really tell you wich swap you should get. Threads like this usualy lead to "engine fanboi" battles wich could simply be avoided with the poster doing their own search on the pros and cons of each engine.

if you get anything other than an SR, you are going thru to much work to get the power....

decide how much monies you want to spend and how much power you want to make and then make your own descision...

no bud i didnt mean to hurt feelings with that comment, all i was saying is that you needed advice right on which swap would be better for you right? well i didnt see where anybody said hey what have done with a 240 before, tell us we want to know..if somebody is not posting what you want to hear then instead of referring to a competition with that person(s) just simply tell whoever to get out of your thread...I can understand a pick between two motors but you listed like 4..i mean can you not search and rule out something for youself? I completly understand what you want out of this thread but the way you went about starting this topic was considered..fun fun for people to flame you.hope you figure out what u want...i had a sr in a s14 and i liked it but im saving for a rb25 right now so its all personal preference

Yes, it would. But there are serious obstacles to wiring up a VQ35. Ppl have just about got the mounts down packed. But the wiring will give you nightmares about things called NATS, VTC and BCM...

But here's my actual contribution to the thread... look into the VQ30DET.

Alright, let us keep the whole back woods narrow-minded stereotypes at a minimum. It took me forever to convince my cousin to marry me because of the stereotypes.

Hey op! EJ-20 in that bish.

depends on what you will be doingsr20 has more parts available and interchangable parts.ka24det even easier to find part and for equal boost make more power then an sr. stock motor with good tune will take 10psi all day on the safe side with sr20 injectors.rb25 250hp out the box and cant beat the sound of one. way cooler on the "my car is better then yours" factor. for a swap dont go smaller, always go bigger and better. do the rb25 and have fun with more power through out the power range. JUST DO IT.

my 2 cents, you can spend your thousands however you want.

Just an FYI, "what type of motor is better" threads aren't allowed on NICO. They bring inflammatory commentary from the peanut galleries, and you'd be better served to spend your time doing research in the individual forums for your information.
