I'm kind of looking at getting an exotic or semi-exotic pet (definition ranges sort of wildly, even ferrets are considered exotic) and I'm kind of curious what pets you guys have, like non-dog/non-cat stuff. I've been considering a Fennec Fox (my dream pet), flying squirrels (which will probably be the final choice thanks to VA laws), a descented skunk, or a racoon. Anything will of course be domesticated/hand raised. But yeah, anyone have something really cool? All animals welcome, pictures would be better =D Here's a fennec to kick off the crazy picture action!

Have at thee!

Not really exotic, but this is my rabbit BJ. He's a house rabbit, no cage, litter box trained, cool as hell.

You know you don't want a cat, you want a rabbit, they're way cooler and cause less trouble Although, I love cats too, heh.

And for the record, ferrets are not that great of pets. My neighbor had one when we were growing up. They always smell, they aren't soft (bristly hair), and they scratch... alot. Other than that, they are badass, I'll just never have one in my home.

I had a peregrine falcon...for about a day, 'til my mom released it, claiming it would pull my eyes off. i've considered ringtails, koalas, this weird fat furry things from australia (don't remember name), or a bobcat/bobcat hybrid. Seriously, nothing cooler than a siamese look-alike w/pointy ears, broad shoulders, and a short tail There are some times hybrid wolf/husky puppies in the Mexican classifieds, but those are rare..

My ex had lots of tarantulas and scorpions. they are quiet clean pets with little maintenance. And anyone who comes over is like oooohhh, gross.

Haha I just don't know if I could deal with insects/arachnids...a snake would be cool, I've thought about snakes/lizards, but I always seem to lean towards mammals =P Psst btw anyone watching this AWESOME game?

Only some of the arachnids are aggressive. Many are pretty tame.

Well I'm not saying that they're aggressive, I'm just slightly arachnaphobic, Like I see cobalt tarantulas and stuff like that and I say pretty, but I couldn't ever hold one.

Here is my other cat kelly, he is a strange cat. The vet said it was mentally retarted, NOT JOKING. as you can see its tongue is sticking out. He does that alot. Has also been run over before because he didn't notice are car backing out of the garage. Hes also got arthritus and walks really slow, also hes about 9 years old. None the less hes still a great pet.

Cats are the best, even though they simply tolerate humans.

Not exotic, but neither cat nor dog. The bird on the left is Max, an American budgerigar (parakeet) and the bird on the right is Gris Gris, an English budgerigar.

I used to have a budgie named Frankenstien (Frank), he was cool, but he got a cold one year and died I only had him for a couple years, it was sad. I also had a rat when I was younger, Rats are AWESOME pets. The only problem is when they get older, if they get toumors, it can get quite grousome.

Dogs are cool unless they start using you home as their private bathroom. Luckily my dog has on had 2 accidents in 10 years. He is a schnauzer poodle mix, aka a snoodle. This is a picture of him relaxing like the other 23 hours of the day.

A rat and a sugar glider here.

Normally I raise iguanas, but my daughters talked me into some furry ones.

I always thought of my ex-girlfriend as a pet. I had a bearded dragon for about 2 years he was great, kinda a like a dog your could teach it tricks(sort of) and it licked human interaction. But then he seemed sick and local pet shop at Purdue(F****ng Lafayette IN imbred retards) told me to open his mouth a put a few cricket in and then put him in his water bath, so I did. Then he didn't move a whole and I left him alone for a few days, and when I came back maggots had eaten his head off NO they really did and the crickets where trying to eat the rest of him!!!
