what kind of oil to use/ and other ??

i just bought my 05 Z with 6k on it and im not sure if it had an oil change, so what kind of oil should i use.. also does it not even pay to diy its like 20$ everywheres.

also what else should i check out having 6k on it. thanks

I swapped to redline 10w30 at my first oil change and haven't looked back.

I always DIY because then you know you are getting what you pay for. I also use Mobile 1 synthetic or Royal purble. I also add Lucas oil treatment to every oil change. Oil is the blood of the car. Spare no expense.

+1 for Royal Purple!! I have used that brand for years, and my cars have never given me problems. They also seem to run better...
