The only option that I know is guaranteed brighter is a plug n play HID kit, bulb type H11. I recommend ~4300 Kelvin temperature range so it looks like OEM HIDs (crystal white).

Thanks, ED, so where can I find these bulbs? Do the bulbs unplug from the back uunder the lens or do you remove the lens from the front?

You'll need an HID plug n play kit, which includes bulbs and ballasts. The ballasts mount under the hood externally from the lamps, some place behind them to something secure. Then what you do is you unplug the factory bulb harnesses from the back of the headlamps, unplug the factory halogen bulbs, plug the factory harnesses into the ballasts from the HID kit, plus the bulbs from the HID kit into the ballasts, and then install the HID bulbs running out of the ballasts into the headlamps from behind, where the factory harnesses mount.

They're bright yellow, but the auto-white balance on my camera, plus the overexposure, made it come out white in the pictures. I have 3200kelvin HIDs.

I ordered and installed a set of Nokya H11 Cosmic White Magnum 80w_5000k. They have the HID look and the set was only $31.99 from Amazon.

http://www.nokyausa.com/cw/cw8018.html

They also have the Hyper Yellow in a H11 blub.

Ummmm factory is 55w, does the stock harness hold up to that wattage?I am debating going with PIAA since they have been a long reliable company as far as lighting goes

I'm not a fan of modifing the existing wiring to upgrade to HID. I did this once in NC and got busted on the yearly inspection. They made me put all orginal equipment on before passing the vehicle. Needless to say, I have not modified my lighting since.

I am however a big fan of Sylvania Silver Stars and highly recommend using these bulbs, as they will not affect inspections. Here's a link to themhttp://www.brightheadlights-hi...r.htm

Sylvania Silver Stars do not come in an H11 blub which our Rogue's use. I have very bad luck with Sylvania Silver Stars on my wife's 06 Altima and my 03 Xrerra. They blow out after about 6 months. I did some reaserch and thought I would try the Nokya Comsic White. I am very pleased so far.

H11 is the same as 9003

And not just Silverstars... I used some Sylvania XtraVision's on my fiancee's Mazda and they were blown within 9 months. There is a price to pay for that extra light.

From what I understand the 9003 has to be modified slightly to be able to lock into an H11 socket....

I read that someware so I may be wrong.

Factory HIDs are always in the 4200Kelvin-4500Kelvin color temperature range.

Factory low beam bulb type for all non-HID Rogues is H11.

I just had hid's intalled 6000k with slim digital ballasts they look awesome. The hardest part of the installation was getting the HID bulbs to fit. The original halogen have metal tabs, the hid bulbs came with plastic tabs and they woudn't fit. I had to do some trimming to the plastic tabs to get them to fit

RE: FOG LAMPSI am doing the 80/100 watt Xenon gas filled HID H-11 as a compromize.Just need more than the lame 55 w factory bulb

RE headlamps- high beam changeout.. I have the factory Xenon system and LOVE it.. by comparison high beams suck so I am looking to upgrade to a better HID bulb.

Questions.. How do you get to the Fogs to change bulbs(what body panels need to be removed) and how?)Question 2. What upgrade for high beam bulb would give me more reach on lonely nights, by myself, on the road???Question 3. Who has those neat body bolt removal tools since NISSAN decided to make it not easy for the DIY guy?

I don't like the Blue 6000K or higher look since it really looks grey to me.prefer 5500 and YES it makes a visual difference to me. Dang astigmatism and related blue visual impairment.

We need to start a project sticky for most DIY projects.

1) There are flip down panels ahead of the front wheel wells, underneath the car/front bumpers. You access them from under the car, right behind the lamps.

2) I went with Toshiba HIR bulbs, but they're, "only," about 20-30% brighter, and the same color as stock.

3) Not I, I do without.

Hi Mcgahee... just wondering about the Nokya Cosmic whites you installed and how they are holding up. Due to the your experience with Sylvania Silver Stars I've eliminated them from consideration.

So... as I understand it, the Nokya Cosmic whites you linked to, (because they are H11), are just a standard bulb replacement... but only if you have the factory HID's. Correct? No wiring modifications etc.

Can't be done if you rely on the factory switchgear, because the fogs won't light when the lowbeams are not activated. If you use a separate switch somewherre you could, but the cut off is much too short, so you'd have to drive really slowly, so it's still not very practical at all. They're fog lamps and have a fog pattern, not auxiliary/driving lamps.

Just installed my new fog lights with premium digital v-hid kit. The power source is straight from a battery throw relay. I used mini led switch with bosch relay by connecting to a cd player 12v switched so I can turn them on at any time without headlights. At the same time they are off if the car is off. I used this diagram for wirings:

I don't have factory switch for fog lights but a lot of people on forum for m35 are asking how to rewire the original switch to light up them independently and I'm sure it's possible.

Tranceboy,

TYPING IN ALL CAPS IMPLIES YELLING.

Please use lower case letters.

To answer your question:

The bulb sizes are listed in your owners manual on pg 8-26. The turn signal bulb is an S25. The 'American' equivalent is #1157.

Use this guide to find the bulb sizes used on your Rogue:

Installed a aftermarket HID Xenon 6500K. Looks pretty nice. I was glad to find two empty spots for my Ballasts also. Will post some pics soon. Next project, Fog light. But the OEM stuff is so darn expensive..

Does anybody know where to place the HID ballasts for the foglights? Will I need to remove my bumper to mount them on somewhere? Or do you just use mounting tape for them? Let me know ! thanks!
