Hey guys! I'm looking into getting some exhaust pipes soon and was wondering what to get. My preference as far as sound goes is the deep and clean muscle car sound, nothing like that terrible honda civic im sure you all have seen with that obnoxious loud muffler and exhaust with absolutelty no power behind it. Never bought any before and not knowledgeable in that field at all so ANY feedback would be great!

Yes, I posted the above as a joke.
I've seen this done in person and it can sound good, but defeats the purpose of having an exhaust... to expel the fumes out the back.
Some people don't really care and are fine with it. The sound varies depending on how many washers they stack in there.

based on your post "exhaust pipes"...just replace your mid pipes with a larger diameter piping -- go with 2.5" and a couple of high flow resonators that lead to your stock mufflers...

or if you want to replace your mufflers, then pick up the Megan axle backs....

what is your budget???? otherwise you can go full set up with the Megan mid pipes and axle backs....you can pick up a full set for under $800 shipped!!!

Well anything sounds great in a tunnel, garage or any closed area esp having the cam. Right by tail pipe ! I will have my magnaflow axle back 4sale this weekend ( going to put on my megan catback) dont get me wrong i love how the magnaflow sounds so deep but i was able to scoop up a used megan for 200 bucks. Here is what it sounds like on m35 with just the mufflers stock everything else, taken from iphone. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ro9Ei1A-Y88

i have the megan cat back, and I took the video in my garage, but it sounds the same just less echo and i used my iphone to take that video, nothing special. and partysan7 no offense but the sound is gonna be different coming from a v6 to v8. i got mine for 400 used and shipped, my friend is selling his for 700 but he priced it at that because he is selling his car, the megan exhaust has low miles on it, clean and the fact that there harder to get now, so its reasonable.

(once again no offense brotha)
i just heard partysan7's exhaust yeah mines way louder and deeper than his not in the garage. get a lot of looks and compliments from the exhaust.

Well thats exactly what makes it sound louder the echo in closed space...I obviously know the sound of megan will be less beefier on v6 than on a v8 but heard couple of v6 with some other mods and it sounded really good .. btw I know what it sounds like on a v8 w/intake etc.. heard them at the LSP meet up..
And what you wrote above sounded like a little kid in a playsand saying that " his is better" lol dont want to start any forum fight but I did not post my video to compare, I just posted to show the guy looking for some exhaust options what other things sound like .. mine is just a plain 08 v6 with just the axelback no intake, no midpipe ypipe xpipe nor any plenum spacer..

And as for your friends setup, its still way too much money for a used set no matter how many miles or how clean it is.. this guy is selling his for 300 $ and as long as the tips are clean w/o major scratches and there are no holes in it nobody will see it under the car, but you will have those 400 bucks in your pocket... thats just the comparison.:dblthumb:
