What kind of car wash do you use?

I need to wash the Q today (when dont I), and I was wondering what you all used to wash your car.....

Ive been using KIT carnuaba (its yellow goo), and I dont like it much. The wax doesnt bead up nearly like it does when fresh... IE I wax it, then wash it for the first time, and it hardly beads up at all...

So what products do you all recommend......?

Personally I use Hitman car wash. If that's not available I use kids R us.

If you want to take the wax off, use Dawn.

I don't use any soap products to wash my car. The joy of using 5-Star means no soap or wax. Just water.

Okay, went out to the garage and Hitman uses either Turtle Wax car wash concentrate or Zaino Bros' Show car wash concentrate. He also has all kinds of stuff for waxing and polishing. The most popular brand out there seems to be Maguires or Zaino Bros'. Hope that helps.

NuFinish is pretty darn good. I've used it pretty much forever. But for the most part, I like the brush wash at the gas station. I follow that up with a coat of colored wax and call it good. If its a lazy Saturday, I do the clay bar then the wax then another coat of TR3 glaze just for show.

bronco? Puddles to get the undercarage, and the rain (or hose once or twice a year) for the body.The bike gets Mcguires or Nufinish and some black magic on the mirrors

Me and my bro have 5 star on our cars. Tried that Mr Clean no dry wash the other day. It works pretty good, good for all those lazy people out there.

i like it alot, it really doesnt leave any spots and does a pretty good wash

But is it really worth the $20???? I mean I already got a brand new chamois and it doesnt really take that long to dry it like that....

As Rydwhite says, with 5 Star shine you won't have to use anything but water to wash your car.

I just finished washing the wagon with Armorall(sp?) Car Wash Concentrate. It cleans it up really good.

I use the Zaino car-wash solution for the car on which I applied the Zaino treatment and the 5 Star Shine car-wash solution on the other car that got the 5 Star Shine treatment (comparison review is in the works!).

These are very mild, PH-balanced, leave no soapy residue and do not remove the treatments. Cars come out slick as when the treatment was first applied!

I forget exactly, but ... the Zaino went on my wife's car shortly before I bought my M45 and the 5 Star Shine went on the M45 a couple of months after I bought it.

So, on the order of 5 to 6 months or so for the 5 Star Shine - the Zaino has been on longer by another 2 months maybe.
