Hello all,

Just joined and have recently purchased a 2003 G35 Sedan with all options but navi. I need to replace the brakes (pads and rotors) but would like to find out what other members have found to be the best combination for their cars. I am very happy with the OEM braking and was thinking of using OEM parts, but I was reading some reviews by people on Tirerack saying that they had great experiences with the Hawk performance ceramic pads and Brembo replacement rotors. I don't want to spend a fortune (aka Big brake kit) but want to make sure putting those on will at least give me the same if not better braking capability. I would love to get some input from other members on good combos and recomendations since I have seen some sites that charge you a fortune for the brakes if you have sport suspension and others that don't mention it at all, I noticed I also had to specify Dynamic Control System as well.

Thanks,

J.

I haven't replaced my brakes yet. I am quite pleased with the OEM setup EXCEPT the exessive brake dust. I have heard good things about HAWK pads and also SATISFIED pads. You can't go wrong with the Brembo replacement rotors.

I would purchase from tire rack or everythingg35.com.

All G35's come with Vehicle Dynamic Control and suspension shouldn't matter unless you have a Coupe. No sedans were offered with Brembo rotors. The only change in sedan brakes was 05+ they went to bigger calipers and rotors. Apparently the brake dust issued was fixed in 05 as well.

Thanks RED_DET, I just didn't want to lose any braking power by not going OEM. I was also confused by nissanparts.org (link below) who have a huge price difference for sport and non-sport I have bought from Tirerack before and like their product.
