What kind of 240 owner are you?

Well guys i just wanted to find out how the majority of people take care of their 240. Do you guys abuse the sh*t out of it or do u guys take care of it like a baby?Do you guys keep them clean and fresh all the time or dont even wash it? Rather spend money on real parts or knockoffs? I was a bimmer guy so i took care of my car like my second wife, just wonder how its done for the nissans

Personaly my old hatch I used to beat the balls off of it and only wash it once in a month, I always had legit parts on it, and the lowest name stuff i had on it was megan racing and isis.

Now my new hatch is so sexy i think i'm gonna be washing it all the tine, but i'm still gonna beat on it, cuz why drive a fa st car slow, u only live once.

Well, drift events every other week, haven't washed it in over 2 months, there is tread falling off my q panels, all scratched up from tires popping. zipties holding my whole front bumper on, completely stripped interior. umm.. idunno need anything else?

LOL yea as for me i was mine every week, and wax it every 3 weeks. All legit parts on it. Dont beat it up or drift it. My dad always bags on me lol cause he tells me why build a car with expensive parts and never use the suspension (as in canyon run it) or spool the sr lol. But its like you invest so much mooney on it u dont want to loose it for some stupid event or accident.

My car only sees the track a few times a year. All the other times it gets babied. I'm 29 now and have been driving 240's since I was 16. My first car was also a 240 so they have more of a sentimental value to me compared to most people. As for parts, I don't cheap out on them, but I'm not going to pay top dollar just because of name brand either.

Always clean, always treated right. Its never going to be one of those 240's that has more than one color, or rolls around with primer.

I wax every other weekend and clean the interior almost every other day since the dust shows on black really bad. I only beat on it when I take it to the track. I have it fully outfitted with name brand parts and a interceptor package.

True that man, and i mean some people cant afford to get legit parts but its actually a set back in the future. IT might work now, but in the future its not going to last like a legit one. You pay a cheap price now and a expensive price later. Why not pay a one time fee and get over it. I also understand the fun of running it hard. I mean i pick up a couple races over a month but its mostly me murdering other rich kids with bimmers lol.

I idolize 240s. My car is my dream car in the making (or one of them, at least). I wouldn't be any more happy than if I owned a Ferrari or a Lambo.

I don't have 10 grand to drop in my car every month, but I'm working on building it with name brand parts. I keep the maintenance up on it, and keep it pretty clean for the most part. I do, however drive the hell out of it. It's slow as s***, but I drive it like I've got all the power in the world.

My car is pretty clean for a work in progress, and it definitely doesn't look ragged out.

well my 240 is my daily but i drive it like i stole it and i havent washed it in a few months. as far as mods go, i mix up cheap parts with name brand parts. the guideline i use to decide what im going to cheap out on is If it breaks does it cause a saftey issue that may cause injury or death if its a no then i go cheap.

I used to run track days once a month in Puerto Rico. But since moving to Florida in June, the 240 has become a daily driver. Hopefully I'll get it back on the track once we get settled in.

It gets all necessary maintenance; washed once every 3-4 weeks.

As for parts, the turbo, intercooler, cooling panel, and strut bars are Chinatown Special. The rest is brand name or custom made.

My car is a DD, I bought it back in December of 2000 (It's a 95) and it had 78,513 miles on the odometer.

Now it reads 210,300 but I do tend to baby it.

Now I do the occasional downhill sprint or kick it up to 120mph on the interstate but for the most part she is babied.

I wash it every week and strip it down with dawn, clay bar, and wax every 6 months.

ive become the track junky abuser. the guy who doesnt care how jdm ur parts are cuz id rather reengineer the whole damn thing and put together something that will work better on the track for half the money (within the limitation of class rules)... but all my money gets spent on entry fees so i can barely afford to even get the car washed anyway.
