What kind/brand of tire chains or cables to use??

Has anyone used tire chains or cables with their versa? We are for the first time without a 4x4 for this winter and i wanted to get a set just to have in case of an emergency. I have searched and found a few brands that will fit our cars but wanted to see if you guys have had experience with any in particular? Any insight would be greatly appreciated as i have never owned chains before. Thanks!!

where in the world are you located? You'd probably be fine just buying a decent set of snow tires. My last car was a 4x4 SUV and it was JUNK in the snow: constantly sliding around, not making turns, spinning the tires, reduced stopping... My versa can drive through almost anything with a set of non-studded snow tires and I rarely slide/get stuck/spin.

I live in Maine btw, and storms with 12 inches of snow are quite common, and I work shoveling people out when it snows, so I am out driving in the stuff.
