Only tips i can give is if you want the power, dont cheap out on parts. Ive found the cheaper parts cause more and more problems. Buy most stuff new. Ive been screwed over with some used parts not working correctly and they just caused problems.

well, if your looking for a good boost gauge/ turbo timer, you should get the blitz dual dtt. i have it in my car, its frekkin awesome. its a basic turbo timer, but it also reads boost in bar. it can also be the regular manual turbo timer or it can be auto and it calculates how long to keep running based on drive time and boost pressure.pretty cool imo, plus its the only one in the market like it.http://www.blitz-performance.c...t.htmalso for 80mm exhausts, i recommend the blitz nur spec R, its the most free flowing exhaust on the market for sr20's... just not the quietest http://www.blitz-performance.c...R.htm

no... but the harness is like 15 bucks. i got the HKS harness on mines. works fine. some people think you have to have the same brand harness, its not true... just make sure its for your chassis

well, i remember the govt. limiter on my old ka sucked balls... it would almost completely close my throttle. but on my sr, i can stay going at 5k on 5th gear and not have it bog or anything... like i can keep my foot on the pedal and it would just go at that speed...

In a 240? I'd like to see that vid. If anything that 240 prob looks more like a glob of cf than a 240.

Glob of Carbon Fiber? Its fully stock looking, full interior. All it takes is power.

it does not take that much power to go 175mph. you just have to have enough omph to overpower the wind resistance. top speed is determined by your gear ratio. did you change out your R&P?

although, IIRC, 175 is close to what the max the stock R&P can hit in relation to the stock redline (assuming you have a redtop or blacktop sr20det, 7500RPM redline, versus the 7000RPM redline of the s14 sr20det). 150 something is the most i can hit with my 4.36 rear end IIRC. there is a calculator somewhere for that.

do you really think it is safe to run 170mph+ on those goofy a$$ stock wheel and tire package. those tires look like 195 60 15. i dont even know of any z rated tires in that size. and i hope you were on a track. thats extremely sketchy nascar speeds on the streets.

I guess nobody here saw the video of Enthalpys car doing 180+mph. Had stock rear and a 8000rpm redline. When i get a chance, ill be more than happy to post a high speed vid.

http://www.f-body.org/gears/

Put in 195/60-15 tire size, 4.083 Axle Ratio, .759 5th Gear, and 8000rpm Redline. What speeds do you come up with for 5th gear?

im not doubting that those speeds cant be hit, just that you didnt hit them. and until you show me a video, i find it incredibly hard to believe you took that coupe to those speeds.

lol. it doesnt take much except a long straight and a heavy foot to reach the speeds. believe it or not stock suspension doesnt feel that bad as long as your going straight. of course its not safe traveling at the speeds but most of anything we do with our cars isnt safe. ill have a video once the rain clears up.
